For painful conditions like migraine headaches, period pain, dental pain, toothache or muscular pain, there is usually inflammation causing the pain and it's important to treat the inflammation effectively. Inflammation is evidenced by redness, swelling, heat and of course - pain.
How it works
Prostaglandins are the body's chemicals that cause pain, inflammation and swelling in response to injuries and certain diseases. Herron BLUE Ibuprofen blocks the production of prostaglandins and so, relieves the inflammation and pain.
Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years of age: Initial dose 2 tablets, then 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours (maximum 6 tablets per 24 hours).
Children 7 - 12 years of age: 1 tablet every 6 to 8 hours if necessary (maximum 4 tablets per 24 hours)
Take with water. Keep to the recommended dose. Do not take this medicine for more than a few days at a time unless advised by your doctor.

I am pregnant. Can I take Herron BLUE Ibuprofen?
Do not take Herron BLUE Ibuprofen while pregnant unless your doctor advises you to do so. Do not take it at all in the final trimester.
I've had a bad allergic reaction to aspirin. Can I take Herron BLUE Ibuprofen instead?
No. Aspirin and ibuprofen are both NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and if you're allergic to one, you may be allergic to another. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about alternative pain relief solutions.
I have asthma. Is Herron BLUE Ibuprofen safe for me?
Talk to your doctor before taking ibuprofen if you have never had it (or aspirin) before, as some people with asthma are more likely to be allergic to NSAIDs (see above) and find that it can exacerbate their symptoms, including shortness of breath.
I take a few other medications regularly. Can I use Herron BLUE Ibuprofen?
There are a few medicines that may interact with ibuprofen. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist, and make sure that you have a complete list of the medications you are using, to help ensure that there are no likely drug interactions.
I have arthritis and have heard that ibuprofen is good for that. Is there anything else I need to consider?
There are a number of forms of arthritis. The most common form is osteoarthritis, which involves deteriotiation and pain in injured or ageing joints. For many people, paracetamol provides satisfactory relief of the pain associated with osteoarthritis.
Other types of arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis, maybe better treated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen.
Do not take Herron BLUE Ibuprofen while pregnant unless your doctor advises you to do so. Do not take it at all in the final trimester.
